In the final phase, the 32 national football
 teams will play, among them Russia's national football team got the chance to play directly as the organizing state team. The remaining 31 national teams have come to play in the qualifying contest. Of these 32 teams, 20 teams participated in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, among which the current World Cup champion Germany is one. On the other hand, Iceland and Panama will take part in the World Cup for the first time in history.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be the first ever World Cup held in Eastern Europe. The World Cup will be held in Europe after 10 years of the 2006 FIFA World Cup held in Germany; This will be the 11th World Cup held in Europe. To save time on the players' tour, only football games will be held at various stadiums in the European part of Russia. A total of 64 matches will be organized at 12 stadiums in Russia's 12 stadiums.
 The tournament will be played at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow City on July 15, 2016. The 2018 FIFA World Cup trophy will go straight ahead for the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2021.
